Site Seven Campers was founded in 2017 and is based in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. Backed by three generations of experience in the camper and RV industry, we design and build our vans entirely in-house using proven construction methods, premium materials, and carefully selected components.Every van we produce reflects our commitment to durability, thoughtful design, and long-term reliability.

After a trip west, Mel Shipp made the decision to transition from dry cleaning into camper sales — beginning the family’s long-standing relationship with recreational vehicles.
Shipp's RV moves and expands to East Ridge TN, off I-75.
Shipp’s RV receives the RVDA Dealer of the Year Award, recognizing excellence in service and industry leadership.
The family business was acquired by a national RV company.
From campers, to bikes, back to campers. Site Seven starts van number 1 in the driveway.
With the help of our friends at Dwell Construction we move out of the driveway into our first shop in downtown Chattanooga.
We eliminate outsourced components and invest heavily in tooling and equipment to bring all major fabrication fully in-house, giving us complete control over quality and consistency.
We move into our own new 12k Square Feet square feet shop in Downtown Chattanooga. With room to grow we expand our in house fabrication to include Aluminum and more CNC capacity.
We take what we learned building custom vans and develop our Workshop Series line. We introduced the Workshop Series — turnkey campers designed for clients who want a proven build without the complexity of a custom project, without compromising quality or craftsmanship.
